After the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung may have also decided to use titanium to make the body of the next generation of its high-end foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. These rumors were reported by Revegnus, a leaker who can certainly be considered a reliable source.
Although there has been no further evidence so far, the use of titanium also for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could certainly be a plausible choice by the Korean company, a significant upgrade both in terms of robustness and durability and design.
Titanium, in fact, in addition to being more resistant to shocks and accidental drops than aluminum, ensuring superior protection for the delicate internal components of a foldable smartphone, also gives a more elegant look thanks to its characteristic matte metallic appearance.
Doubts, however, about the possible adoption of this material also for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the compact foldable that should be unveiled at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 during the “Unpacked” event that will probably be held at the beginning of next July. Given the presumed additional costs and the apparent desire to make this product more and more accessible, it would be more likely that the Flip will retain an aluminum body.
According to the rumors circulating so far, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 should be lighter, thinner, and a little wider than the current model. The increased width extension will result in a slight increase in the diagonal of the external display. As a processor, of course, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would be expected. The photographic sector, on the other hand, should maintain the 50 MP + 12 MP + 10 MP configuration. Finally, the battery should be 4,600 mAh.
