YouTube tops up technology with a remixMedian
Ever in its exploratory mode, YouTube declared a new update for its uploading personnel the other day. They can now compose new versions of already existing songs. This is a part of YouTube’s Dream Track tool alongside Google DeepMind’s Lyria artificial intelligence.
This part is quite relative to dream track, how does remixing of songs work?
This tool enables creation to makeover a song and to generate a 30 second melody for use in a short clip. Those involved in creation of this experience can choose from this eligible list of songs and then instruct the AI how they would want to remix the song. These changes can be intended to change the genre of the song or the mood of the song – depending on each individual’s motivation.
After the instructions are fed, a new song is produced for which “the music is dynamically recycled while the vocal and lyrics sentiment remain intact”, YouTube puts it. These remixed soundtracks have a clear reference to the original song not only in the short video, but also on the audio page of it. They also specify that the sample of the track has been remixed with the help of artificial intelligence.
A tool in constant evolution
Dream Track is available for use since November 2023, in co-operation with Universal Music Group and several famous musicians – John Legend, Charli XCX, Troye Sivan and others. Since that time this tool has become available to all American creators.
