Uber Eats: way more than just a delivery service
Uber Eats is once again revolutionizing the world of home dining by introducing a new feature: Order lists are also integrated and can be customised as well as shared. Consumers can now select the best meals in favorite local restaurants’ and make a compilation of the best meals to order and share with other people.
Measures that open doors to conviviality and co-sharing
Perhaps, sharing of these lists could be rather helpful in particular circumstances. For instance when you are in bed with flu and you want to order take out food but you can not get out of bed to call the food joint, then you call a friend or relative to do it on your behalf. Just direct them to the list. Also, Uber Eats said that some lists could be featured on the home screen on the app, making the creator of this list a real local food blogger for a day.
Such orders include the lists signed by the relevant influencers.
The order lists are also going to be introduced into the app by influencers from the sphere of gastronomy. Some of the first identified industry participants include stand up stars Sam Roby for Chicago Food Authority, and Ella Kahan and Emma Matarasso of Chew York City. Now, I wonder how this is going to look in the smaller markets.
It had outlined Uber Eats as a company in full evolution.
It must be pointed out that the company has recently started to offer fresh produce from farmers markets at several cities. It has also tried delivery by means of vehicles on their own. Once again, all these new features show that Uber Eats wants to carry on creating and diversify its service offer in order to satisfy its users.
