Threads live is a social selling application developed by Meta which the company has used to explore new frontiers.
There are mostly cases where one social media platform emulates the pulls of another. Meta is not an exception to this rule and at the moment seems to be working on a new feature for the Threads app.
“Loops,” as tools to connect the communities
From TechCruch little experimental feature is known to have been launched in Threads in the line of Subreddits and X Communities. This is believed to have been discovered by Chris Messina, an early user of Threads, who noted mentions of “Loops” in the code of the most recent update of the application.
Users can also request to join a certain community, or to exit the Loop community; They can also name a Loop community. We read this on Tech Crunch from an anonymous sourceon Instapro; it suggested that this feature is not even in the testing phase.
A different marking system?
As pointed out by Messina, users will be able to engage in group and will have possibility to discuss certain topics, which is already presented in some competitors. Nevertheless, since Threads are free from the conventional use of hashtags, Loops are probably going to need a different markup language.
Waiting for more information
The functionality of the Loops per se remains unspecified and still needs to be disclosed. Some features of what Loops could be were revealed by developer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi and among them we can mention the menu for creating new Loops. Still, many aspects are still undiscovered until the present and it will be necessary to turn to the official statements in order to receive more information.
