An alternative to subscription: Office 2024
Microsoft, aware that not everyone is ready to subscribe to Microsoft 365, offers an alternative: Office 2024. Many of you want productivity software at an affordable price with no annual or recurring charges: $149 one-time.
What do you really get out of paying for it?
While this sum may seem high, it includes fixed versions of all of Microsoft’s major software: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote and Outlook among others. “Fixed” means that you won’t get the new features provided by Microsoft 365, but if you do not need the current updates to Office, it works.
What’s new in Office 2024?
Office 2024 is the first Office release since 2021 which is not part of Microsoft 365. Microsoft has introduced so many new features for its subscribers since 2021 almost all of them are included in Office 2024 editions. Some of the enhancements include:
Excel: Writing text and tables both in worksheets
PowerPoint: New Cameo feature that lets you display a live webcam stream in Slides
Outlook: Search Enhancements
Word: If you’re in a session your PC crashes before you finish Then you will need to recreate it.
A specific referral to home user customers
Please note that there is a home user version of the office 2024 available at $149. If you will use it in business, there is the Home & Business version oriented at entrepreneurs, costing $249.
But if you prefer a productivity solution that will not limit with subscriptions, then Office 2024 can be a perfect choice for you.
