The emergence of the iOS 18.1 and the start of the Apple Intelligence
Next week represents the first official week of iOS 18.1 that will include Apple Intelligence for the first time on devices that support these AI solutions. An update that could , in theory, prompt user’s to switch to the new iphone 16 , one of the few models that can support these new features. But as the case may be, it does not appear to be so much a black and white situation.
This gave a mixed effect on iPhone 16 as indicated in the follow up options.
Some analysts suggested that the boost in iPhone 16 sales by Apple Intelligence could be less as compared to what we expected. From them, Ming-Chi Kuo, who Identity production reductions mainly for the non-Pro models of the iPhone 16. He says: “I feel very confident in where I see Apple Intelligence going in the future to be a paid service that’s widely used.” However, this kind of tremendous shot in iPhone shipment will likely to be paralleled by similar additional advancement in AI hardware which Apple lacks at present. »
iOS 18.1: Not drastic changes, but significant enhancements nonethelessdbContextctx Internationally, much has improved but there has not been a revolution.
The release of iOS 18.1 is only the beginning of a process of Apple Intelligence that is expected to occur up through next year. Some of the features evident in this update include the writing tools that can be used on any app with keyboard input irrespective of the app developer. This makes it possible for users to obtain correction suggestions in terms of what they type, experiment with different ways of phrasing things, or make a text shorter.
As noted above, Techsponential’s Avi Greengart also highlighted this in a way by stating that most of them offer “a new spin on an existing feature instead of changing how the phone is used.”
It went on evolving with iOS 18.2
As usual, it’s now looking toward the next version, iOS 18.2, which will bring even more to Apple Intelligence and introduce Visual Intelligence for the iPhone 16 only. This feature will then pull data by just taking a IPhone’s camera and pointing it towards an object.
Despite these upcoming improvements, they are unlikely to cause a significant uptick in iPhone 16 sales. According to Greengart, Apple’s challenge is to show that even a limited version of Apple Intelligence can offer useful and interesting features.
